Staying as a couple while exploring the markets and local attractions was a fantastic experience. The host was proactive, offering us helpful ideas for activities and always checking in on us. The common kitchen was stocked with essentials like coffee and water, and rooms were spacious and comfortable, perfect for relaxing after long days out. Natural light floods the rooms, creating a bright and welcoming atmosphere. The space is overall nicely decorated, making it a comfortable retreat after a long day exploring nearby attractions.
The shower had weak water pressure. it also only provided cold water at times. Bathrooms felt cramped, lacking space for toiletries, and there were unpleasant sewage odors at times. Spotty WiFi required keeping the door open to connect adequately.

My stay was fantastic, as the bed & breakfast was just a few steps from the Mercado Benito Juarez and around the corner from the breathtaking Templo de Santo Domingo de Guzman, making it incredibly convenient to soak up the city's charm at every turn. gerardo, the wonderful host, ensured my experience was top-notch, providing insights into local attractions that made my weekend feel special.

The location was perfect, just steps from all attractions. Water pressure in the shower could be stronger.

the Casa Sofi Oaxaca Bed & Breakfast is, well, quaint in its own way. however, having to deal with an unacceptably low water pressure and suffocating sewage smell isn’t exactly a luxury stay. I would have expected a complimentary upgrade for putting up with all that, yet here I am as regular as everyone else, just couldn’t comprehend it!

The shabu shabu was an unforgettable highlight, and we explored nearby dining gems like Xuncu Choco for delicious chocolate and In Situ Mezcaleria for some top-notch mezcal. The spacious common areas were perfect for unwinding after our culinary adventures.

great location but some small inconveniences
Gerardo was incredibly attentive, allowing my friend to stay beyond check-out when she was unwell while also arranging a taxi for us! The kitchen area was well-stocked, making morning routines smooth and easy, offering a cozy space to enjoy coffee. We loved the charming courtyard, which provided a beautiful spot for relaxing after exploring the city.
The shower pressure could use improvement.

The central location made it easy to explore the nearby attractions, while the host's attentiveness ensured we felt welcomed throughout our stay. The beautifully designed room had comfy bedding and large fluffy towels that added to the cozy feel. While the old building's charm was evident, the water pressure in the shower was disappointing, and there were a few instances of unpleasant smells in the bathroom. However, the homemade rolls available in the kitchen were a delightful treat to start our mornings.
